Organisational Change Manager (OCM)


Melbourne | 6-Month Contract | Full-Time | Immediate Start


We’re partnering with a forward-thinking organisation undertaking a significant IT and Business Process Transformation. As part of this journey, we’re seeking a highly capable Organisational Change Manager (OCM) to lead and embed sustainable change across systems, processes, and people.


In this key role, you’ll work across program and business streams to drive adoption, minimise resistance, and ensure the human impact of transformation is effectively understood and managed.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a change leader who thrives in structured yet fast-evolving environments and is passionate about turning strategy into behaviour change at scale.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement end-to-end change management strategies that align with program objectives and business goals.
  • Conduct change impact assessments to understand the people, process, and technology implications across stakeholder groups.
  • Build and deliver targeted communication and engagement plans that ensure clarity, alignment, and momentum.
  • Lead readiness assessments to gauge organisational preparedness and tailor interventions accordingly.
  • Design and coordinate training strategies to enable adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Identify and proactively manage resistance to change, leveraging coaching, workshops, and strategic interventions.
  • Act as a coach and advisor to business leaders, helping them act as visible change champions.
  • Integrate change activities into project plans, partnering closely with project managers and functional leads.
  • Track and report on change progress and adoption metrics, including risks and mitigation plans.
  • Develop and maintain clear, up-to-date change documentation, including stakeholder maps and action plans.


What You’ll Bring


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering change management strategies for large-scale technology and business transformation.
  • Strong understanding of established change methodologies such as Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • A consultative approach, with the ability to work independently while influencing decision-makers.
  • Experience designing and delivering training, communications, and leadership engagement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change resistance and drive successful behavioural outcomes.


Desirable

  • Prosci or equivalent change management certification.
  • Experience in organisational development or culture transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with structured project delivery and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Industry experience in healthcare, education, or professional associations is advantageous.
